Position Summary
The Accounting Manager will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, managing the monthly close process, and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. This position requires a strong understanding of GAAP, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally across departments.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee general accounting functions including GL, AP/AR, fixed assets, and inventory accounting

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis

Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards (GAAP)

Collaborate with operations, procurement, and supply chain teams on cost and inventory analysis

Support budgeting and forecasting activities in partnership with finance leadership

Assist with internal and external audits

Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering professional growth and performance

Continuously evaluate accounting processes and systems for improvements and efficiencies
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA a plus)

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards

Experience in manufacturing or consumer goods industry preferred

Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented mindset
